Beautiful, fine-quality Longwy faience pottery antique kerosene lamp. This all original lamp was produced in the Longwy pottery circa 1882. It has the correct colors and style from that era of the company and it is done in a lovely Art Neuveau pattern. The crackled background is a beautiful powder turquoise blue enamel with stylized flowers and fleur-de-lis in Longwy pinks, greens, browns, and white. The number 169 is inked on the actual vase bottom which can be read through the iron and brass base. There is a picture of this base in the Bradley & Hubbard 1883-84 Illustrated Catalog of Kerosene Fixtures, page 127, no. 5066B. The brass and iron pieces are original and impressed with "Patent Appl For", and the brass burner with attached shade holder is a hinge-top patent dated Apr 10, 1877. The wick thumb wheel works well and there is a wick in place. This wonderful lamp comes complete with an old glass chimney, stamped EMPIRE (minor dings at bottom edge). The powder turquoise blue shade (probably Hobbs bulls eye) is a perfect match (has two very, very minor fleabites on bottom edge).
Height to top of collar: 10.5"; to top of chimney is about 20"; base is 6" square.

This lamp is quaranteed to be as described and you may email to request further information or pictures.
