<td width="100%">
Neolithic period Long Shan yellow jade with a peculiar oval shape. Probably it was held horizontally, suspended by two small perforations located on the apical portion. There is also an oval perforation following the contour of the main carving. The perforations have funnel-shape drilling, typical for neolithic jade carvings. The surface is well polished and the carving was done in an yellow jade with lighter brown color speckles and veins. This is a rather large neolithic jade carving of very interesting shape. Provenance: Dr. Veleanu's jade collection, the author of the collectors' textbook: "Jade, 5000 BC to 1912 AD, Guide to collectors". Estimated value: $2.500.
