Long Kentucky American full stock flintlock fowler, circa 1750-1790, .68 cal., 46-1/2” round barrel, brass furniture, classic American engraved lock plate, hammer, trigger guard, side plate and butt plate, checkered wrist stock with wood ramrod. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing an even dark patina on barrel and lock mechanism, light patina on brass furniture, good action, dark bore; wood is overall good + with scattered wear, particularly around the wrist, scratches and mars and what appears to be remnants of initials on the right side of the butt stock that cannot be readily discerned. Two British style partial proof marks are visible on the left side of the barrel at the breech. A good looking early fowler. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
