<B><I>Lone Trail</B></I></B></I><B> Native American Cigar Label by Schmidt & Co., New York, 1901.</B></I> Full color lithographed 10" x 6" inner label with gold-embossed highlights. The bust of a noble Indian chief in full ceremonial regalia rests upon a bow and is flanked by scenes of forest and plain. The American Indian was a stock advertising device for cigar manufacturers given his association with the dubious gift of tobacco. Slight wear to one corner, else near mint.
