Lone Ranger TV Series (1949) Indian Ax Prop
Lone Ranger TV Series (1949) Indian Ax Prop - "A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty Hi-Ho Silver!" Thus began 217 episodes of the cult classic and much beloved "The Lone Ranger" (1949-1957). With, of course Jay Silverheels as Tonto, and the legendary Clayton Moore as The Lone Ranger, no one has ever been able to reproduce the pure magic of this original. This is a rare prop indeed. It is a hard foam Indian axe with wooden handle prop used in many of The Lone Ranger original TV series. With the budgets low from Apex Film Corp, and then Wrather Productions, props like this were used again and again. All the props and costumes from the series were sold at the end of the series production, so this ax was used again in countless Westerns both on TV and the big screen. The additional leather wrapping was added later. (Approx. 20" long).
