London Flintlock Over and Under Tap-Action Pistol by Goodwin
.435 bore diameter, 2.25" turnoff double barrels cut for a barrel key and numbered 2 and 3 on both the iron and brass metal surfaces at the breech. Left side of brass frame with maker's name Goodwin signed in an oval and surrounded by floral ornament. Frame is fitted with a circular tap lever and a sliding lever that engages the cock. Right side of frame marked London in an oval with floral ornament. Slab (flat)-sided walnut butt, iron trigger guard with engraved star. Underside of breech with Birmingham proof marks.

George Goodwin was a successful gunmaker in Birmingham from 1807-1817.
Condition: Good condition with uniform wear. Firearm will not engage at full cock. Brass tang is raised out of the stock and is loose. Brass has been cleaned to bright.
