London Brighton & South Coast Railway full case copper station lamp with a replacement name tablet "COWDEN" (from where the lamp was removed). Complete with torch finial, vessel, burner and glass funnel. 34" tall. Cowden station, between Hever and Eridge on the Eastbourne/Lewes line, opened in 1888.
