London Brighton & South Coast Railway 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The body, stamped "LB & SCR" on one side; "No.632 LD" on the other, carries a large oval brass plate lettered "London Brighton And South Coast Railway" and a steel plate "Fogman 1 Box LINGFIELD". The reducing-cone has a similar plate. The chimney cowl is also stamped "LBSCR" partly concealed by a circular brass "B" plate (Brighton). The handle is stamped "LD.No.632". A SR(stamped) Brighton vessel; SR brass/ceramic burner; reflector and all glasses. Unrestored. Note Lingfield station, between Hurst Green and East Grinstead, opened in 1884.
