A rare early example from Lladro's formative years, this porcelain bloodhound figurine officially known as Dog Sniffing, item number 01005110, captures the quiet intensity and natural posture of the hound in motion. Though officially introduced in 1980, this particular example bears the Third Lladro Mark used from 1971 to 1974, featuring the blue tulip logo. The absence of a molded model number and presence of impressed artisan marks suggest this may be a pre-commercial or early production run, possibly created prior to the piece's full catalog release. Reflecting the hand-sculpted quality and transitional period of Lladro's early artistry, this version is especially prized for its scarcity and craftsmanship. Measures approximately 7.5"L x 4"H.
