R & B singer (1937–1968) who was convicted of manslaughter in 1966 and died in prison two years later. Talk to Me album signed and inscribed on the back cover in black ballpoint, “Best wishes to Bill Stewart, Little Willie John.” In very good condition, with completely separated top and bottom edges of front cover, scattered edge wear and creases, and tape remnants to horizontal edges of covers. The record is included. An extremely rare signature of the 1996 Rock and Roll Hall Fame inductee, whose mysterious death in prison remains unsolved, and whose influence upon fellow soul singers has been profound.
