Little Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Miracles, Mary Wells 1963 Motortown Revue Concert Poster. An original vintage 1963 jumbo cardboard window card advertising all of the Motown Records musicians who would participate in the label's famous "Motortown Revue" concert tours of the early 60's. This was for all of Motown's finest in concert for a week in the spring of 1963 at Chicago's famed Regal Theatre. Appearing were the first queen of Motown, Mary Wells, The Miracles with Smokey Robinson, The Contours, The Marvelettes, Motown co-creator Marv Johnson, the inimitable Marvin Gaye, The Vandellas before Martha's name was broken out, and 12-year-old Little Stevie Wonder one month before his "Fingertips Pt. 1" single was released and made him a star. So yes, that marks this as the earliest known Stevie Wonder concert poster as well.

There probably weren't enough hits (read: money) involved yet for the giant Day-Glo poster treatment the Motortown Revue received later this year, so this window card is a very seminal starting point for Berry Gordy Jr.'s whole shebang. A very unusual, rare, special and talent-packed concert poster that's never been seen before, and likely will never be seen again. Nice three-color appearance of white, maroon and black. Measures 22" x 28" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
