Early original 5 x 10 handbill for Ramon Bruce’s “The Top Ten Review of 1956,” a musical showcase held at the Fabian Theatre in Paterson, New Jersey, on November 12, 1956, featuring an assortment of acts, “All In Person On Stage,” such as Little Richard, Bill Doggett, Big Joe Turner, Etta James, the 5 Keys, the Moonglows, Faye Adams, and more. The handbill lists Little Richard hit singles like ‘Hee Bee Jee Bee,’ ‘Ready Teddy,’ and ‘Rip It Up.’ In fine condition, with trimmed edges, and old adhesive residue on the reverse.

Jet magazine called Ramon Bruce Philadelphia's first Negro disk jockey. Starting in December 1945 on WHAT (AM), Bruce played jazz and rhythm and blues all week and then gospel on Sundays. His show was initially called 'Snap Club' and then later 'Ravin with Ramon.' He broadcast live from Club 421 and later Powelton's Cafe and Paul's Carnival Club and was an amazingly popular DJ in a time when segregation was legal.
