A dramatic tableau featuring a seated Jeff Davis, the president of the Confederacy, surrounded by his most important military commanders including Robert E. Lee, A. P. Hill, John B. Hood, J.E.B. Stuart, J.E. Johnston, P.G. Beauregard, Jubal Early, and James Longstreet. Robert Toombs, the Confederate Secretary of State appears as a framed portrait hanging in the background. The margins around the image are significantly toned and stained but the image remains largely unaffected.
