Australian military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, manufactured circa 1917. Features a parkerized finish, 25.2" barrel, raised patridge front sight, shrouded leaf type rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards, metal nosecap with bayonet lug, protective front sight ears & piling swivel, single barrel band, serrated trigger, detachable 10 round magazine with cut off on the right side of the receiver, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, tan canvas sling, charge loading bridge on the receiver, smooth full-length wood hand guard & forend and straight grip shoulder stock with brass disc & brass trapdoor buttplate. The right side of the butt socket is marked "A" inside a seven pointed star/"LITHGOW/SHT.LE/III" inside a shield & "1917." The brass disc is marked "59/BI." Serial numbers match on the receiver and bolt handle. Rifle retains approximately 90% of it's parkerized finish with the majority of the wear concentrated on the nose cap.
