Australian made WWI British Commonwealth bolt-action battle rifle with a 25" barrel, mismatched bolt, mismatched magazine, leather sling and a full wood stock. Made in 1916. Metal finish is worn to a dull grey with edge wear on high points. Bore looks a little frosty with good rifling. Muzzle cap matches receiver serial number. Brass butt plate has many small dings. Wood stock has stamping that matches receiver serial number. There are also other stamps with numbers and one that has "CMD" over "5MD". The front handguard has a small crack at the front of the rear sight and another at the lower barrel band. There are numerous dings, dents and scratches but no other cracks. The leather sling is a little stiff and dry. Condition is good. *Modern Firearm C&R*
