Original Lionel Prewar Standard Gauge Blue Comet Set with Nickel Trim and Painted Boiler Bands. Includes #400E Locomotive (4-4-4), #400W Tender, #420 Pullman "Faye", #421 Pullman "Westphal", and #422 Observation "Tempel". Extremely nice set,however there are some scuffs and scratches to all pieces. Wheels to each also show signs of playwear. Couplers on each car have very light signs of rust, and one of the couplers to the "Faye" passenger car is lightly bent. There is aloose seat inside the "Tempel" passenger car. Locomotive has the original boiler front, however it shows damage with cracking and some chipped areas. There is a crack at the bottom of the boiler plate which has been repainted. Boxes areincluded for the 400W Tender, 420 "Faye" (torn missing endflap), 400E Loco with what appears to be the original cardboard insert, and another passenger car box, not sure of the number (one end is missing all flaps).
