It was put out as a house publication by M.G.M. to spotlight their contracted stars and productions. There was also a bonus in each issue: in issue #9, May 1942, there is a small poster of the cover, less the logo, featuring great caricatures of Spencer Tracy, Hedy Lamarr, and John Garfield. V2 #1 has a 12-page pull-out, including a small poster of the cover featuring Clark Gable and Lana Turner in "Great Eight," another with Red Skelton and Ann Sothern in "Panama Hattie", and one featuring Mickey Rooney in "A Yank at Eton." These books are great reads and much nicer than most movie magazines of the era. <B>Estimate: $100-200</B> (2 items) </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
