Lion and Two Monkeys Cast Iron Mechanical Bank made by Kyser & Rex and patent dated 1883. The lion's glass eyes are accentuated by the colorful polychrome original paint. Two monkeys at the top of the tree are suppose to drop a coin in the lion's mouth when the lever is tripped. One of the monkeys is missing. Cast banks encouraged Victorian children to save their pennies. Making the coin fall properly into the lion is even hard to resist as an adult. 8.75" x 9".

Shipping: Hollowware/Pottery/Glass, Small (view shipping information)
