Offered in this lot for bidding is a very intricate sword cane. This piece features from top to bottom, a brass lion head pommel attached to a wooden handle with overlay carved bone, leading down to a brass twist lock mechanism. The scabbard of the cane has a carved wooden construction with a brass and steel foot. The cane appears to originate from circa early 1900's - and displays good condition. The foot only has one rivet holding it on, which has become loose - but still secure, there is also an "HMS *" carved lightly into the wooden scabbard. The cane sword inserted into its scabbard measures 35 1/2" tall, and 1 1/4" thick at the tip of the handle.
