Lindsay Two-Shot Double Hammer Pocket Pistol, #67, .41 cal., 4'' step-down contoured blue barrel with light scroll engraving, brass frame is similarly adorned with case hardened hammers and trigger, and smooth walnut grips. Bottom of barrel marked ''Patent'd Feb. 8. 1859/Patent'd Oct. 9. 1860''; left side flat marked ''Lindsay's Young America Manf'd by J.P. Lindsay-Manfg Co.-New York''. An interesting pistol where a superposed load was inserted thru the muzzle affording two shots with one barrel. Mfg'd in the early 1860s. Condition is excellent. Barrel assembly retains approx. 95% original blue with thinning at high edges, and one small scratch to center of left side barrel flat. Brass components with a toffee-colored patina. Grips retain high percentages of original varnish. Action is good, bore is excellent. A high-condition example of pre-Civil War American curiosa. Est.: $2,500-$4,000. (Antique)
