Lindbergh Flight Commemorative Bronze Statuette, artist-signed “E. Jollet”, marked as Made in France, hollow cast with applied coppery patina, overall 21.25” including 1” dark green marble base with rounded front, depicted is a male personification of Progress striding over a foamy sea with torch in hand. Below this classically inspired Art Deco figure is Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis. Oddly, the plane is riding the crest of a wave like a California surfboard. Casting flaws as made, the most noticeable being a 1” split in the “water”. A drill hole at back of base and another in the torch indicate this sculpture was originally wired as a lamp. Excellent condition.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
