Lincoln's Death Scene Cased Gem Tintype. A lithograph of Lincoln's deathbed has been reduced here to a 1" x .75" tintype. Shown are Mary Lincoln, cabinet members, and dignitaries hovering over the comatose victim. The image is placed against a violet felt background within a 2" x 2" x .5" leatherette case resembling a book. The top lid is embossed with an American eagle and is secured by a brass clasp. Moderate wear and scuffing to case. The surfaces of the tintype have a couple of tiny spots of emulsion loss not affecting primary subjects. Overall fine condition.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
