<B> Lincoln Manuscript Document, Signed in an Unknown Hand "Swett, Lawrence, Lincoln & Lamon D.Q."</B></I> Champaign Co., Ill., May 1855, three-quarters page, folio, on lined blue paper. In the case of George High, indicted for larceny, the lawyers ask that subpoenas be directed to the sheriffs of Warren, Mason and Iroquois Counties for four named witnesses, including John Noland, "to testify in behalf of the defendant". A brief note by clerk (Thompson R.)
