Actor (1845–1930) who was the call boy at Ford's Theatre when John Wilkes Booth shot President Lincoln and fled. Ferguson was described as the last surviving eye witness. Rare ink signature, “Sincerely yours, W. J. Ferguson, Oct 21/96,” on a light blue 7.5 x 4.75 album page. Page is also signed by Gladys Wallis above Ferguson, and on the reverse by Nellie McHenry. In fine condition, with a couple of light brushes to signature and some slight mirroring of ink from a signature on the opposite page.
