The author signs his name "<I>Lin Yutang</B></I>", adding a second signature in Chinese characters and a note: "<I>sorry I am three months late in sending this!</B></I>". With a signature by American novelist <B>Mackinlay Kantor</B></I> contained within a return address clipped from an envelope.
