Elegant footed compote crafted from fine Limoges porcelain, featuring a scalloped bowl rim and slender pedestal stem, richly decorated with hand-painted gilt floral and foliate motifs. The bowl's rim is bordered with Grecian-style scrollwork in bright gold, harmonizing with the overall neoclassical aesthetic. The compote is raised on an elaborate ormolu (gilt bronze) square base, adorned with a pierced gallery and ornate acanthus-leaf feet. This intricate combination of porcelain and ormolu highlights the piece's refined craftsmanship and decorative appeal. Underside marked in green with: Porcelaine Limoges France, accompanied by handwritten inscriptions: Peint   la main and 4840/2826, indicating its hand-painted origin and limited production. Measures 6.5"H.
