Magnificent hand painted Limoges plaque depicting a courting couple outfitted in colonial-era attire. Measures just under 18" in diameter, with pre-drilled holes for hanging. Signed by the well-known Limoges artist, Dubois. The condition is very good-to-excellent, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. Minor wear to the gold accent trim around the outer edge, an example of which can be seen in the closeup photo. Stamped with A. Klingenberg Mark #9, a red overglaze decorating mark found in use from about 1900 to 1910. A rare opportunity to own a spectacular piece of fine Limoges porcelain.
