Limited Production Gerber/ Northwest Arts and Crafts Mark II Combat Knife with Carved Whale Ivory Ea
Part of a limited run produced by Gerber and Northwest Arts and Crafts of Seattle, consisting of 25 numbered animal head sets intended as executive gifts and approximately 35 unnumbered eagle head knives which were sold independently by Northwest. Built around a Gerber Mark II Combat Knife, the double edged spear point blade measures 6 3/4" long, with the Gerber logo on one side of the ricasso, leading to a solid brass dual upturned quillion cross guard. The grip section is completely custom, two piece construction, with the front half being smooth, round fancy grain walnut bordered at the rear with a scalloped brass band, and terminating in a beautifully carved eagle head, rendered from whale tooth ivory, with the registration number "330001600/ 165gm" on the underside of the beak. OAL: 12 1/2". Included with the knife is an attractive walnut desk stand.
