No. 89 of the Limited Hardbound Edition of 100 copies, signed by Morton and Joseph Stack. August C. Gies (1855-1944), was a prolific coin collector. The Stacks described him as being "one of the most ardent students of numismatics," noting that "when this collection was described, Mr. Gies was the oldest living collector in the United States, having commenced his collecting activities in 1864."
