Limited Edition Lithograph, entitled ''The Bottisham Four'', 26 July 1944, #326/750, image size 18''x24'' (framed 27-1/2''x33''). This litho is based on the famous photograph of four P51 Mustangs from the 361st Fighter Group, 375th Fighter Squadron, based in Bottisham, England, about six miles east of Cambridge. Signed by the artist Les Carter. The photograph and painting depict four Mustangs, three of which are slightly different variants -- a B Model, a D Model, and a dorsel-fin D Model. Litho is also signed by Francis Glankler, Urban Drew, and D.W. ''Red'' Rowlett. Glankler flew P47s and P51s and was a Squadron Leader in the 361st Fighter Group and received five Distinguished Flying Crosses and thirteen air medals. Drew is most famous for shooting down two German Me-262 jet fighters with his propeller-driven Mustang. Drew amassed 700 combat hours in P51s and flew 76 missions with the 361st. Condition is excellent with beautiful image and clear signatures. Nicely framed with double blue matting. Est.: $800-$1,200.
