Commissioned in 1995 by the owner of F&M Bank, as the building they bought in Winchester Va was the Actual Palace Bar in 1862. Mr Kunstler broke several traditions with this painting. 1, he painted his Cavalry man from the left, not the right as he typically did ( to better show the Sabre & accoutrements he was wearing. 2, he painted it as a rare night scene & rarer still after a rain instead of his more typical snow scene for night oriented paintings. This is a professionally framed & matted offset lithograph ( from a limited run of 4000 prints ). The lithograph measured 19"x24" before framing. This is a beautiful & rare scene from Mr Kunstler which is truly apart from most of his other paintings. 31" X 41" framed size. Â
