The Bouquet of Lilies Clock Egg (or the Madonna Lily Egg) is a jewelled Easter egg made under the supervision of Peter Carl Faberge in 1899 for Tsar Nicholas II as an Easter gift to his wife, the Alexandra Fyodorovna. It is currently held in the Kremlin Armoury Museum in Moscow and it is one of the few Faberge eggs that have never left Russia. The egg-shaped decorative clock and its rectangular pedestal are decorated with translucent enamel on a guilloche background. The body of the clock is divided into twelve parts which are outlined in diamond-studded stripes. The belt of the dial which revolves around the perimeter of the egg is enameled white with twelve Roman numerals set in diamonds. The hours are indicated by a diamond clock hand shaped like the head of an arrow in a drawn bow. The egg uses the language of flowers which was well known at the time. You acknowledge that by accepting these Terms & Conditions you are opting in to receive emails and notifications about this auction sale and all other Universal sales and offerings. By signing up for a Universal auction sale, by placing a bid during a Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions auction sale or otherwise transacting with any Universal entity you are accepting the following terms and conditions: 1. Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium will be in effect for all auction sales and shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. Although obtained from sources deemed reliable, the Seller and Auctioneer make no warranty or guarantee to the accuracy of the information contained in any auction listing. 13. Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach. The laws of the State of Illinois shall govern this Agreement and all transactions with Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I and Universal Live Auctions. REV. 2008-01
