Swedish actress (1936–1987) who dated James Dean. Kardell left Hollywood in 1965 for NYC, where she worked as an interior designer until her mysterious death in April 1987 at the age of 50. Gorgeous and uncommon matte-finish 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders photo, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, “To Robert, Best Wishes Always, Love, Lili Kardell, P. S. Birthday May 26th.” In fine condition, with trivial creasing to the bottom left corner.
