Daniel Boone Hunter, Soldier, and Pioneer with Sketches of Simon Kenton, Lewis Wetzel, And Other Leaders In The Settlement Of The West." The heroic figurehead of Col. Daniel Boone is characterized by his accomplishments to further western expansion in early U.S history shining bright and bringing Kentucky to the forefront of the shining constellation that became the Union. Heartfelt by youth for courageous stories facing down wild animals and wilder men, Col. Daniel Boone faced Indian siege, the slaughter of men beside him, and the daring rescue of his daughter captured by Indians and rescued by himself and stalwart men around him. The red coloured cloth bound gold gilt stamped hardcover is in fair condition, decorative boards with stamped floral designs and gold gilt label of the high Victorian style.
