Five documents, 1859: 1) Original Captain's Log, May 17 to June 17, 25 pp., with details of the voyage: storm, damage to ship requiring that it go for repairs, and subsequent actions causing the ship to be sold at auction. Most page sizes are 8 -1/2 x 1 4. Some ink rather light, but readable. 2) Original bill of sale for the ship, partly printed, 4 pp., appointing Thomas Wilcox as Ship's Master of this ship for whaling purposes. The five consignors of the ship have also signed. 3) Document, 2 pp., of written instructions. With revenue stamp and signatures. 4) Document, manuscript, listing crew members. 5) List of proceeds of the voyage, 1859, 2 pp., listing humpback oil, etc. sold, with proceeds. Each leaf professionally encapsulated, except Log.
