Document is imprinted "<I>Academy of Science Soviet SSR</B></I>" at top. A collector's notation in the margin reads: "<I>Landau 1951 Re: PHD Exam Results</B></I>". Signed by Landau and countersigned by fellow neclear physicist<B> Evgeny Lifshitz </B></I>(1915-1985). <B>Lev Landau </B></I>(1908-1968) was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Physics in 1962.
