Let Ohio Women Vote Suffrage Poster
Let Ohio Women Vote Suffrage Poster In 1894 with the leadership of the National Women Suffrage Association starting to splinter, the then treasurer, Harriet Upton Taylor, moved the organization to the small town of Warren, Ohio. Ohio women had been involved in the movement from the start but with a local headquarters and the push for state to state ratification of the 19th amendment, Ohio women were now more involved then ever.

In muted pastels with a golden sun behind her, woman is pictured with shafts of wheat at her side. Known to collectors in its popular postcard version, this is the first time a poster variation with this graphic has ever been offered. Measuring 20.5" by 26.75", the poster retains it's original color. Minor repair has been made to a couple of edge trouble spots where they have been professionally tipped in and matched to the background. Two minor stains appear on the left edge and several creases have been flattened. In the bottom corner the artist's name appears as C Cassady Davis and in the top right corner the print number appears showing this to be the complete poster.

Seldom, does an item of this quality and presence find it's way to market. Whether this poster hung in a headquarters or was used when Ohio women marched for the suffrage plank in Columbus (1913), it is amazing that this poster has survived. We are proud to offer our collectors the opportunity of a lifetime.

Shipping: Framed - with Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
