Diplomat, and politician, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for organizing the United Nations Emergency Force to resolve the Suez Canal Crisis. He served as the 14th Prime Minister of Canada from 1963 until 1968. TLS signed “L. B. Pearson,” one page, 8 x 10, International Developement Research Centre letterhead, August 23, 1972. Pearson responds to a letter. In part: “I have your recent letter and believe I can best reply by sending you the enclosed copy of my remarks made on the occasion of my remarks made on the occasion of my acceptance of the Victor Gollancz Award last June.” In fine condition.
