Actor, director, and producer (1890–1952), now best remembered playing gruff, menacing characters in movies of the 1930s and 1940s. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 GB publicity photo of Banks in a suit and silk scarf, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Saul from Leslie Banks.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of March 19, 1938, the date the signature was acquired. Some scattered light creases and surface marks, and some ink flecks and spots to end of paraph and under signature, otherwise fine condition.
