The bronze sculpture features a Natve American shaman holding a buffalo skull to the heavens with his bow and quiver at his feet and is mounted on a polished wooden base. The bronze is marked 'Les Welliver' and '66' for the year and is numbered 3/30. Les Welliver (1920-1989) was a contemporary American Western sculptor born in North Dakota who lived and worked in Kalispell, Montana. Welliver was best known for his wood carvings of Indians and his Western themed wildlife bronze sculptures. The condition of this bronze sculpture is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze sculpture is 18" x 6" x 8 1/2". The collective weight of this bronze sculpture is 13lbs.
