<B>Leopold Stokowski Signed Letters and Other Correspondence.</B></I> Includes two letters from famed conductor Leopold Stokowski to bassoonist Paul Tucci, signed by Stokowski in black ink, both referencing the 1959 season of the Houston Symphony Orchestra. Also included is a letter from Sir John Barbirolli, signed by the famous conductor in blue ink; a handwritten letter to Tucci from Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Morton Gould; six signed letters from bassoon manufacturer Wilhelm Heckel; a 1964 invitation from First Lady "Lady Bird" Johnson to a private tour of the White House; and a letter from the Sorbonne regarding Tucci's French language studies.
