Medal of Honor–winning military officer and physician (1860–1927) who served as Army Chief of Staff and later as Governor General of the Philippines. Partly-printed DS, one page, 12 x 16, March 1, 1913. Wood, as Grand Marshal, appoints Lieutenant Lawrence Ricker to “serve as Aide to the Marshal Third Grand Division in the parade…at the Inauguration of Woodrow Wilson as President and Thomas Riley Marshal as Vice President.” Signed at the conclusion by Wood and countersigned by Chief of Staff Henry Allen.
