Leonard Starr - On Stage Sunday Comic Strip, dated 2-15-59 (The Chicago Tribune, 1959). If theatrics is your cup of tea, look no further than this On Stage Sunday strip from February 15, 1959. Pete and his friends find themselves in some unfriendly territory, a real ghost haunts a theatre where "The Dryden Ghost" is rehearsing, director Darby Fleet makes some fast moves on Mary Perkins, and a cameo by Maximus, "The Man with the Plastic Face," are all packed into these fabulous nine frames. Leonard Starr's clean, open style and fresh line work make this Sunday strip something you'll want to own. The individual frames have been cut and pasted into the format of the strip, which measures 23" x 15". There is some minor aging, several small stains, some limited white-out usage, and some very slight buckling on the original logo paste-up, but otherwise the work is in Very Good condition. From the collection of Gill Fox.
