Very nice large and poignant bronze. Artist is Len McCann. 27" tall, 17.25" wide. Len graduated from Rocky Mountain School of Art in Denver, Colorado in 1969. Len's emphasis was in commercial art. His experience as a sculptor began at Bunn Studios and later employment at Denver's Natural History Museum in 1971 and naturally proceeded to his own studio. His special emphasis is on the horse and the historical characters who rode them. Len’s work is in many public and private collections, with several of his bronzes owned and displayed by the U.S. Cavalry Museum at Fort Riley Kansas, which is considered by Len to be the ultimate complement to his work. Completed works range in size from miniature to life-size and encompass many fields of interest. Len's specialties include Military History, Equestrian subjects, and miniature one-of-a-kind sculptures that are worked combining mediums and replicating accoutrements.
