Dust jacket has noticeable wear along the edges, corners, and spine ends, with rubbing to the boards, including two horizontal tape abrasions 3.5 and 2.5 inches in length across the top and bottom of the front panel, respectively. One of many Gnome Press titles sold to military libraries, this one to the American Merchant Marine Library. Octavo. 213 pages. Publisher's gray cloth with black spine titles. Dust jacket. Book is ex-library, with an ink stamp both on the front pastedown and along the top text edge, and moderate shelf wear, especially along the bottom edge. Textblock lightly toned along the edges, with a minuscule damp stain on the fore-edge. Dust jacket noticeably worn along the edges, folds, and spines, with mild paper loss, notably a one inch triangular section at the bottom of the rear panel.
