Lithuanian-born American theatre owner/operator and producer (1871–1953) who was the eldest of seven siblings of the theatrical Shubert family. Two items: a TLS by Lee Shubert, one page, 8.5 x 7.25, Shubert Theatre Corporation letterhead, December 13, 1932, in part: "This is the first time I have heard anything regarding Marguerite & Strauss…I am contemplating several shows right after the first of the year and you can assure them they will be taken care of"; and a DS, signed by Lee Shubert and Jacob Shubert, two pages, 8 x 13.5, May 1, 1921, assigning a lease for 234 West 70th street. In fine condition, with PSA/DNA labels affixed to the reverse of each signed page. Accompanied by certificates of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
