<B>Lee Harvey Oswald: An Important Group of Documents Relating to the Autopsy of John F. Kennedy's Assassin.</B></I> This fascinating lot consists of: <BR><BR><B>1).</B></I> Carbon copy of the Toxological Report, on original mimeographed form, and actually signed in ink by the Dallas County Toxicologist (signature illegible). Dated 11/24/63, the report finds Oswald negative for poisons, and notes that "<I>no nitrates were detected around the bullet hole...</B></I>" Rubber-stamped as filed by "Pierce McBride, J.P." (see description of included items). <BR><B>2).</B></I> A similar Blood Alcohol Report, also signed in ink. It is dated 11/25/63, and quaintly notes that the specimen was obtained from the "morgue ice box," it concludes that Oswald was "Negative for alcohol." <BR><B>3).</B></I> The third and most significant document is a carbon of the completed "Authorized Permit for Autopsy" issued to the Pathology Dept. of Parkland Memorial Hospital, and asserting that "upon my own determination...this autopsy is necessary." Signed by Justice of the Peace Pierce McBride. The document shows that five copies were made, for law enforcement and county government agencies, and this is McBride's own copy. The autopsy was requested by "J.R. Leavelle of Homicide", and apparently at that time in Dallas a justice of the peace was authorized to sign off on such a request. Under "pertinent facts regarding death", it states: "Shot with one bullet from .38 caliber revolver in basement of City Hall. Bullet entered in front of left side, going through body and lodging just under skin on right side. Assailant in custody." It also notes, "Please release body to: 'Undertaker of choice of family'" A handwritten postscript at the bottom declares: "<I>11-24-63, Dr. Earl Rose reported just after autopsy: Cause of death - massive hemmorage, secondary to gunshot wound - PMcB by phone to Mrs. (illegible name)</B></I>" <BR><B>4).</B></I> The final item isË
