Lee Harvey Oswald autograph letter signed from Minsk, U.S.S.R., dated 28 June [1961]. Oswald writes to his mother in full, ''Dear Mother / Recived [sic] your letter today in which you say you wish to pay me back the money you used last year, that, of course, is not nessicary [sic] however you can send me somethings from there every now and then. / If you do decide to send a package please send the following; 1 can Rise shaving cream / 1 razor (Gillet) / Pocket novels westerns and scicenace [sic] fiction - Time or newsweek magazine chewing gum and chocolate bars. That's about all. Ha-ha. / I very much miss sometime to read you should try and get me the pocket novel '1984' by Wells. / I am working at the local radio plant as a metal worker. We live only 5 minutes from there so it is very conveinant [sic]. / Well that's about all for now. I repeat you do not have to send me checks or money! Love xx Lee / p.s. Marina sends a big Hello to you also!'' Two octavo pages preserved in light, flexible acetate which can be removed by a professional restorer; Oswald's mother encased all her son's letters in this medium when forwarding them to the Warren Commission, indicating she must have changed her mind about sending this letter since this was not examined by the Commission.
