(Harvey, 1953).</B></I> Though Lee Elias has been long overshadowed by his Golden Age contemporaries, he has finally been getting his due as a superior artist. He really hit his artistic stride when he became one of the lead artists for Harvey. Though he is most famous for his art on the <B>Black Cat</B></I> title, it is his work on the horror titles that really stands out. His panels were filled with detail, but never cluttered. His ability to convey the emotions of his characters thru vivid facial expressions, and use of light and shadow with a variety of pen and ink line styles were perfect for the genre. This is a fantastic story of black magic, complete with an enchanted book, a cauldron, and a conjured beauty. The first page has had the top margin cropped off but, otherwise, these pages are approximately 14.25" x 22.5" in size. They are in excellent condition with moderate staining and very minor use of white out. <B>Estimate: $1,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
