Never-before-published set of twelve color satin-finish 3.5 x 3.5 candid photos of Led Zeppelin performing at Scotland's Aberdeen Music Hall on January 25, 1973. The photos include: four images of Robert Plant with open shirt and microphone; five images of Jimmy Page playing his 1959 Les Paul guitar (three wearing a white coat, and two without); an image of Page and Plant standing back to back; an image of Page and Plant sitting down, with the former playing his Martin D-28 acoustic guitar, and John Paul Jones visible in the background; and an image of Page playing his guitar and looking over at John Bonham behind his drum set. Reverse of each photo bears “This paper manufactured by Kodak” watermarks. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by letters of provenance from the original photographer. Provenance: Bonham's, July 2013. Led Zeppelin rocked the Aberdeen Music Hall with a set-list filled with crowd-pleasers like Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, while also playing songs like Dancing Days, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, and The Ocean, tracks from their forthcoming fifth album Houses of the Holy, which was released just two months later.
